New Series: Perseverance

Posted by on February 22, 2012

Hi everyone! Following my previous post on “Finding Your Passion“, I have decided to start a new series on Perseverance.

All of us have overcome setbacks and persevered; that is life. However, many people are getting stuck with their setbacks (i.e., rejection, injury, criticism, etc.), and I want to encourage them to persist in a positive way.

I am starting a new blog series on Perseverance and am extending an invitation to you all to share your story or an inspiring video/piece of advice on how to deal with setbacks. I find that we hear more about individuals’ success or  attainment of an end goal, but hardly hear about their journey to reach that goal. The “journey” is what my blog is about, and helping individuals overcome bumps along the road. The video below shows exactly what I am talking about.  When you think of these people, you think about how accomplished they are.  I never knew about all of the struggles they had gone through to reach their goals.  Learning this lesson is important!

If you feel inclined to share (no pressure), please contact me about getting involved in this project, as I’m looking for guest posts. I will tell you more, but I thought I would ask if you want to contribute – since I have heard from a few people that they would like to. What you share is entirely up to you and will be kept anonymous if you don’t wish your name to be published on my site. Thanks in advance!

Looking forward to hearing from you. Hope you have a great day!

Thank you for reading and your presence at this beach retreat. You Rock! I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts in the comment section below.

See you at the beach!

A great idea! We do focus on the negative around us too often, instead of highlighting the time we stood back up. John Maxwell calls it “failing forward”.

Thanks for the compliments! Couldn’t agree more – that we focus too much on the negative. You are a wonderful writer and have plenty of experience to share – if you would like to share a story, please let me know. It would be very much welcomed. :)

Sharing your story gives others permission to do the same. Speak from the heart and leave your mark in the sand by adding your thoughts below.
